North American Events Volunteer Service for youth June 29 – July 2, College Park, MD A week of volunteer service work in the Washington DC area bringing together young people from various congregations. Mornings begin with short prayers to attune us to reverential service in the worldThen we go out and help where we are needed in homeless shelters, city gardens, with elder care, etc. In the afternoon we return home for volleyball. badminton and other games, barbecuing and campfire singing. We end the day with a Close of Day service and overnight camping on the beautiful two acres of the Washington-Baltimore care congregation. Cost $150 Contact Rev. Patrick Kennedy 240-505-9960. Christian Communtiy Summer Camp Our 35th year of providing a place where children ages 8 to 13 can experience nature, sleep in tents, hike, swim, canoe, learn handcrafts, play games, listen to storytellers, unplug from electronic media, perform plays, make lifetime friendships, sing and sing some more, and attend the Sunday Service for Children.
