Meeting The Unique Needs of the Child
We know that our children need physical nourishment to grow. We know that they need soul nourishment, too – compassionate conversation, the beauty of nature as well as art. But to fully unfold who they are, to become themselves, they also need spiritual or religious nourishment. In order to reach this source of nourishment, our children’s souls – their thoughts and feelings – need to be lifted to the spirit, to the meaning of life and of the world.
This is the goal in all we offer our children and youth: to lead them into an understanding of the way the eternal spirit weaves in nature and in human beings; to discover this guiding hand in human destiny; to see the meaningful guidance of God in the course of human history; and to feel the inner call to be the servant of the good in the times in which we live.
