A talk given by Rev. Bastiaan Baan on “The Four Elements”, the “Quinta essentia”  and elemental beings at the altar. 

The four classical elements of earth, water, air and fire are present in Genesis and continue to be significant throughout Christianity. Different streams of thought, such as the School of Chartres and Celtic Christianity, have emphasized them in different ways.

Rev. Baan is the director of the Priest Seminary in Spring Valley, NY. He will look at how elemental beings relate to the four elements and will explore the role of elemental beings in our world.
