Talk by Johannes Kuehl, Leader of the Science Section of the Anthroposophical Society in Dornach, Switzerland.
About the Presentation: The lecture will approach the “light-organism of the earth”, the colors in the atmosphere like halos and rainbows in a way following Goethe’s method in his theory of colors. This leads to an understanding of the conditions which lead to these phenomena and to the insight why the atmosphere of the earth is the “home of colors”.
About the Speaker: Johannes Kuehl was born 1953 in Hamburg, Germany. He studied physics in Hamburg and Göttingen where he finished with a work on fluid dynamics at the Max Planck Institute. After one year of research at the science section at the Goetheanum he taught physics, chemistry and mathematics at the waldorfschool Stuttgart Uhlandshöhe. Since 1996 he is the leader of the science section at the Goetheanum and a member of the collegium of the school of spiritual science. His research interests are goetheanistic optics, fluid dynamics and mechanics, and the relation of technology and human culture.
