Retreat theme:  The Deep Innerness of All Things.

The creative, moving, all-permeating force of life in the universe; that which illumines and transforms us, upon which we draw all hope and meaning, is a Being. We are, in an unconscious way, afraid to meet this Being because it means that what is old, or unworthy or untrue in us will be asked to die away. And yet, we feel in our depths that we would rather be “on the way” to our true selves, than “in the way.”

We will gather for a week-end retreat at Fox Haven Learning Center in Maryland, to work together in a more concentrated way. When we pause in our lives to pray together, to study, to have deep conversation and artistic expression, we help to balance our earthly foundation with “grounding in the Spirit.”
